Swedish Massage

A very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. We combine rolling, kneading, and percussion strokes to help the body increase circulation which can also improve immune system functioning. This bodywork relieves muscle aches, decreases stress levels, enhances mental clarity, improves appearance and increases flexibility.

Swedish Massage helps remove toxins from the body that accumulate during and after exercising, so it can speed recovery from workouts by improving circulation and helping to stretch the muscles.

Deep Tissue Massage

A form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. We can adjust our pressure according to your individual needs and pain tolerance.

Many clients embrace a certain amount of deeper work as a part of their regular session and consider it therapeutic and necessary. Soreness may occur in the 24-48 hours following the treatment, and plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

Massage is a complementary therapy to chiropractic care, acupuncture, and physical therapy.

Couples/Friends Massage

Bring your partner, best friend, or family member and enjoy a massage performed by two therapists in the same room, one working with each of you. Relax quietly or enjoy conversing while getting your massage if there is some catching up to be done.

  • $95 per couple for a 40-minute session
  • $135 per couple for a 60-minute session
  • $185 per couple for a 90-minute session

Facelift Massage

This is a gentle, non-invasive approach to looking younger. It relaxes the muscles and untangles and mobilizes muscle fibers, releasing the face from ingrained expressions and encouraging the tissues to glide more smoothly over the deeper layers of muscle and bone. Several sessions may be required to achieve desired results, but even one session will make you feel and look better!

  • $65 for a 60-minute session

Hot Stone Massage

We use basalt, a smooth volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. The heat is both deeply relaxing and helps tight muscles release.

An authentic hot stone massage is not simply the "gliding" of heated stones lightly upon the surface of the skin, but rather the stones are used as tools to deliver effective tissue and muscle massage at a pressure level comfortable to the client

  • Add to any session for $10 per session

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy is a time in which a woman's body endures tremendous stress due to dramatic physical, mental, and emotional changes. Pregnancy Massage helps alleviate discomforts experienced throughout the pregnancy. The benefits are profound, including emotional support, the reduction of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, improved breathing and relaxation, and relief from uncomfortable digestive issues.

A side-lying position can be effective in inducing a state of relaxation during the session, especially if you are a side-sleeper. We use unscented lotions for this bodywork unless a request for a particular essential oil is made by the client. Some essential oils are contraindicated during pregnancy. Deeper work on certain stressed areas can be performed even to the end of the third trimester. On a case by case basis, massage may be used in the first trimester as an effective mode of stress reduction and pain relief.

Sports Massage

Designed for highly active people and athletes.Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term.  Sports Massage enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pain and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and dramatically improve recovery rates. It is also highly effective in aiding the rapid recovery of an athlete from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness, and in turn, promoting the body's natural immune function.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release or MFR is form of focused deep tissue that stretches, separates, and helps create balance with the body's fascia; a connective tissue that wraps and permeates the muscles as well as surrounds bone and the entire body. Fascia has more pain receptors than muscle and imbalanced fascia has many trigger points. MFR is an important step in pain management and prevention as it helps resolve some of the most stubborn tension patterns and poor posture. During the first few session of Myofascial Release a client receives massage only to the most relevant areas to their physical discomfort. As time goes on, the therapy evolves to resolve underlying tension patterns that further alleviate the clients pain patterns and postural deviations. This therapy is ideally suited for clients seeking relief from muscle and joint discomfort or pain that is interfering with work and recreation or otherwise making life less enjoyable.

Focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. We have found the modality to be effective for some appetite disorders, headaches, and sinus issues amongst others. According to this bodywork, certain points and zones in the foot correlate with organs and different parts of the body.

We have converted many to reflexology who had no desire to have their feet touched, and some say that a 45 minute reflexology session feels as therapeutic as a full-body massage.

Trigger Point Therapy

A style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle tissue rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These knots are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques in order to release your trigger points. This process can be somewhat painful at times, and multiple treatments may be required, yet the effects can be lasting and profoundly transformative.

We use this modality with musicians, artists, computer users, those who have repetitive use issues and endure strain for prolonged periods of time.

Manual Lymphatic Therapy (MLT)

MLT is the encouragement of increased lymph flow through manual technique. Increased lymph flow helps remove toxins from the body. It is a very light, superficial, repetitive technique meant to encourage the movement of lymph fluid and not engage the underlying muscle tissue. MLT as a detox therapy increases the flow of lymphatic fluid and encourages the elimination of metabolic and environmental toxins from the body through waste elimination. MLT is done as a full body therapy, from the head down, or as a head and neck therapy to release fluids from the sinuses and head into the circulatory system. MLT as a wellness therapy is usually used after the loss of lymph nodes due to surgery, injury, or radiation. This therapy redirects lymph away from the affected node area to an unaffected area of the body. It is used to encourage excess fluids out of the affected limb and back into the circulatory system for elimination.

  • $45 for a 30-minute head only session
  • $70 for a 60-minute body session
  • $110 for a 90-minute full body session

Tibetan Singing Bowl Therapy

This ancient form of vibrational and sound therapy can be used alone or in conjunction with, traditional massage to help relax the mind and facilitate healing of the body.

During a session, metal bowls are placed on or around you and played in various sequences to soften the fascia (connective tissue), where scar tissue or physical and emotional trauma can be stored. The vibrations of the bowls work to change the patterns of your cells back to a harmonious state. Since we are made mostly of water, the sound waves move through the body just as ripples from a dropped stone move through water in a lake. This therapy can be used to reduce stress and pain, improve concentration, reduce blood pressure, improve immunity, balance the chakras, heighten intuition, synchronize the brain hemispheres, enhance creativity, and remove mental and emotional negativity. May be used in conjuction with tuning fork therapy or as an add-on to a massage.

  • $40 per 30-Minute Session for Clearing/Balancing Chakras, Anxiety Lifting, or Pain

Tuning Fork Therapy

The tuning forks, which were developed by Dr. John Beaulieu, are matched with the natural frequencies of the Earth and our bodies. Studies have shown these tuning forks actually cause our cells to releaseNitric Oxide, a very important molecule for healthy functioning of our bodies. The forks are playedon and around the body toactivate our own healing capabilities. The vibrations match our nervous and circulatory systems in their relaxed state, allowing stress and anxiety to melt away, while encouraging our cells to return to their normal functions. May be used in conjuction with Tibetan Singing Bowl Therapy or as an add-on to a massage.

  • $25 per 20-Minute Session foranxiety lifting,pain relief, or general body tune-up
