About Us
Jakki Covington, C.M.T.
Specialties: Massage for Runners, Computer Strain & Shoulder Pain, Sciatica & Hip Pain, Headache & Sinus Relief
I moved to Blacksburg to attend Virginia Tech in 1987. I stuck around for 20 years, like so many do, because it is quiet, affordable, and just as beautiful here as anywhere else I've been. I enjoy doing landscape photography in my free time, and I find that this, and the healing arts, are therapeutic in different ways. As long as I'm doing something I love and feel is worthwhile, the tools I use to manage my stress have a better chance of staying intact.
I enjoy helping people to be active participants in their own health care. If it is clear when and why we need treatment, and we draw from the best sources, and we want to truly commit to taking better care of ourselves, then it is easier to be inspired by the idea of achieving optimal health. We can then do it because we want to, and because we have to. Implementing lifestyle changes to help us take charge of our health will occur only if we're informed, motivated, and have the right support. It is our goal to help us learn the best ways in which to care for your stress. We look forward to meeting you!
